About Me
I’m Susan, and I love taking photos.
I particularly love to photograph women. Women are often the ones behind the camera, capturing the memories for the whole family. Women are often the glue that holds the family together. And I know that there aren’t nearly enough photographs celebrating women at the important moments in their lives. Which is why I do what I do…
I love the joy that photographs bring and the memories they help keep at the forefront of our minds.
I’ve taken photos since I was a teenager and have more photo albums than I have space for on my shelves!
I want you to have the same love for your photographs that I have, and to fill your home with beautiful memories.
How Did I Get Here?
I thought that being a professional photographer was too far out of reach so I didn’t even try. Instead, I pursued a career in the film industry – which also seemed like a long shot, but the starting point there is making teas and coffees and I knew I could do that.
After years of student films and low budget productions, I managed to get work as a trainee on classic Scottish TV shows Rebus and Taggart. After time served there, I took a chance in London and started work on feature films. I met many amazing people along the way. Not just the big names you would recognise, but the hard-working talented crew members working alongside them.
My husband, Dave, is one of them and when our first son was born I left the film industry to stay home and care for him, and his brother and sister who followed.
My kids have been the biggest photography project of my life! I have thousands of photos of them and over 50 framed pictures on the wall. Now that they are getting bigger, I have taken the chance to retrain as a professional photographer and it feels great to be a part of a creative industry again. Now the pictures I produce of my family warrant being displayed as wall art and it’s exciting to help other families have this too!

Why I Didn’t Do a Bridal Boudoir Photoshoot — And Why I Want You To
Twelve years ago, I got married — and like many brides, I poured myself into the planning, the little details, the excitement of it all. But there’s one thing I didn’t do, and it’s something I now wish I had. I didn’t do a bridal boudoir photoshoot. Not because I...
