Maternity photo shoots are fun! So, itâs time to ditch the mirror selfie and come along to my wee home studio in Corstorphine to get some great shots of your beautifully changed body! You are creating a human and should be treated like the Goddess that you are! This is a chance to feel fabulous and be proud of yourself. Choose me to be your Maternity Photographer in Edinburgh.
I regret not having a professional maternity photoshoot, and I had three chances!!! All of my photos are mirror selfies or occasional group photos with loads of distracting background. I felt that it was perhaps silly or unnecessary to make such a big deal of myself.
Now that we are settled with our three children and my body will never take that form again, I wish that I had taken the time for myself to celebrate my body and all that it was doing for me.
When Do I Book My Session with my
Maternity Photographer?
You can book anytime after your 12-week scan. At your scan appointment you will be given a more accurate timing of your pregnancy. This will help you book for the most optimum time.Â
The best time for a Maternity Photoshoot is 30-36 weeks.
I had so much fun and felt like a model. Susan was very professional and I would recommend her to anyone.

How Does It Work?
When you are booking, you will be asked to select a date and time from my calendar.
You will also be required toÂ
fill in your details, complete a short questionnaire and pay a small deposit of £75.
I will then send a Maternity Photoshoot Prep Guide, and we will have a phone consultation a week beforehand, to discuss ideas on styling.

This photoshoot is 45-minutes long.
Time enough for 2 wardrobe changes.
Against 1 backdrop colour.
Pre-photoshoot phone consultation.
Use of my Maternity Wardrobe.
You choose 5 edited, high resolution digital files
from a small gallery.
Most suitable between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

This photoshoot is 90-minutes long.
Time enough for 3-4 wardrobe changes.
Against 1 backdrop colour.
Pre-photoshoot phone consultation.
Use of my Maternity Wardrobe.
You choose 10 edited, high resolution digital files from a small gallery.
Most suitable between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Partner and other children are welcome to participate.

Susan did my Maternity shoot when I was 39 weeks pregnant, it was so relaxed and she took her time to make sure I was comfortable and not too tired. The photos turned out amazing and she made me feel so beautiful. I am so grateful to have those photos to look back on.

your QUESTIONS
How far along should I be?
7- 8 months is ideal. Bump is big and beautiful, but you still have some energy and itâs less likely that you will give birth before the appointment! But if you have gone past this point, do get in touch in case I have space to squeeze you in. A maternity photoshoot is not an opportunity to be missed!
Do I need to bring anything?
I have a small selection of dresses and fabrics to choose from so you don’t need to bring your own dresses, unless there is something that you really want to be photographed in. It’s a good idea to bring a skin coloured thong and black maternity leggings to help with our options. Nude is also an option but absolutely not essential. If you have any hair accessories, special or statement jewellery you would like to wear please also bring these on the day.
Where will this take place?
At my wee home studio in Corstorphine, Edinburgh North.
Session time?
Most likely a week day morning when all my kids are at school! The sessions are 90 minutes for the Full Photoshoot or 45 minutes for the Mini Photoshoot.
Can my partner come?
Yes, of course. Other children are also welcome, though a Full Maternity photoshoot would be the better option to allow time for their participation.
How and when do I pay?
You will pay a £75 deposit when booking. The remaining balance is due on the date of the photoshoot. You can pay by credit or debit card.
What happens afterwards?
Within two weeks, I will send you a link and password for you to view your gallery and from which to download your high resolution files.
At this stage, if you wish to purchase any additional pictures or a product, you can do so for an additional cost.
Your product will be with you 3-4 weeks after you have shared your selection with me.
