Let me be your Natural In-home Newborn Photographer in Edinburgh. I come to you to capture the newborn bubble in its element in the comfort of your own home.
Once your baby is born, it’s a good idea to spend the first couple of weeks resting and bonding as a family. The idea of a studio newborn shoot may seem impossible, especially if you want to include toddlers and pets. Then a Natural, In home Newborn Photoshoot may be ideal for you, because this is a special moment in your life that needs to be captured and cherished.
I provide the newborn wardrobe, blankets and swaddles and a cute little moses basket that’s perfect for your baby’s solo portrait. I will give you guidance on what to wear and how to prepare for the shoot.
When Do I Book My Session with my
Newborn Photographer?
You can book anytime after your 12-week scan. At your scan appointment you will be given an estimated due date and this helps book your spot in my diary.
The actual appointment date and time is set once your baby is born.

How Does It Work?
When you are booking, you will be asked to fill in your details, complete a short questionnaire and pay a small deposit of £75.
You will not need to select a date and time at this point, unless your baby is already born.
Once your baby has arrived, let me know and we’ll book your photoshoot appointment. You will then receive a Newborn Photoshoot Prep Guide, and we will have a phone consultation to discuss what happens on the day, how to prepare your home and what you should wear.
After your photoshoot, you will be able to select your favourite images from an online gallery and buy prints and products from the Online Gallery shop provided by a UK award winning photography lab.

I don't know when my baby will be here. How do I book?
You can book anytime after your 12-week scan. You will have an estimated due date by then and I can add that to my diary to secure your space. Your baby can arrive any time in the 6 weeks surrounding that date so I will email you a gentle reminder on the week of your due date. When your baby arrives please inform me and we can confirm a suitable date for your session.
How old does my baby have to be?
Your baby is considered newborn for the first six weeks, though babies are sleepier in the first month. 1 – 3 weeks old is ideal, though in-home sessions are suitable for older babies too.
WHAT IF MY BABY IS OLDER?
Don’t panic if you think you have missed the newborn stage. We can still get beautiful shots of your baby. They may just be more awake during the session and there will be other perks, like their ability to hold up their head. Make contact and let me know your situation and together we can make a plan to have a great photoshoot.
Where will this take place?
I will come to you and I will use the natural light in your home, so the brightest part of your house would be ideal.
How long will it last?
I will only stay at your home for around 90-minutes. In-home photoshoots are still baby led, so if your child needs fed, changed or cuddled in just the right way, we let him/her have what they need.
What do I need?
I will bring some newborn clothing and swaddle blankets. Other family members will need to provide their own clothing for the photoshoot, but this doesn’t have to be brand new and I will help with the styling when we have our pre-photoshoot consultation.
When and how do I pay?
You will pay a £75 deposit when booking. The remaining balance is due on the date of the photoshoot and you will receive an email with a button to make payment. You can pay by credit or debit card.
If you want to upgrade your package once you have seen your pictures, I will send you an invoice for the additional amount.
WHAT ELSE CAN I PURCHASE?
There is a shop attached to your gallery, where you can preview your beautiful images in these wonderful products.
