I believe in capturing natural moments of your new baby and your family. When you book me as your at-home newborn photographer, you can be assured that I will gently guide you to find the best light, but we will avoid stiff, posed portraits. My sessions are all about connection – your baby sleeping in your arms, an older sibling proudly holding their new brother or sister, those quiet moments between parents. There’s no need to worry about forcing a pose or getting everything “just right.” The beauty is in the real moments and the little details.
The Whole Family Can Be Involved
At-home sessions make it easy for everyone to take part. Older siblings can play, cuddle up for a few photos, and then run off to find their toys when they need a break. Even pets can join in! Having the session at home means your family can be together, in your own space, making the experience enjoyable and relaxed.

There’s something particularly special about capturing your baby’s first days in their first home. You’ll be surrounded by the little details that make your story unique. Whether we go into the nursery you’ve carefully prepared, or the sofa where you’ve been curled up as a family, your home provides the perfect location for your first portraits.
And for you, as new parents, there’s no pressure. You can take breaks whenever needed, feed your baby in your favourite chair, and have everything you need on hand to keep your little one happy.
You’ll Hardly Know I’m There…
Newborns don’t follow a schedule. They haven’t read the books about routines, and that’s absolutely fine! Because I come to you, we can work around feeds, naps, and changes of outfit (for both baby and parents!). There’s no need for you to have to get things together to rush out of the door ,or worry about keeping your baby settled in a new place. I work at your pace, and follow your baby’s cues and needs.
How to Prepare for Your At-Home Newborn Session
One of the best things about an at-home session is that there’s no need for a perfect home. My lifestyle sessions are all about capturing the love in your family. However, a little bit of preparation can help to make sure your images focus on what matters most: you and your baby.

Tidy up key areas – Don’t worry about deep cleaning your home! Just a quick tidy-up in the spaces where we’ll be shooting (typically the living room, bedroom, and nursery) can make a big difference. Try to remove any clutter, such as laundry baskets or excess items on coffee tables, so that the focus stays on you and your baby.

Let in the light – I use natural light as much as possible, so opening curtains and blinds will help me to see the best spots in your home.

Dress comfortably – Neutral, soft tones work beautifully in photos, but most importantly, wear something you feel good in. Avoid big logos or very bold patterns, as these can be distracting.

Have any special items nearby – If you have a particular blanket, toy, or heirloom you’d love to include in your session, have it to hand so we don’t forget it!
