Hi, I’m Susan, mother of three and former camera assistant for the film and television industry. I’ve loved taking photographs since I was a teenager and I’m delighted to now be a Maternity & Newborn Photographer in Edinburgh.

I have always had my photos framed and displayed them around my home. They make me smile, remind me of moments I would have forgotten and show me how much we have all changed over the years, especially since having children.

the Studio

Bonnie Pictures Photography studio is based in my home in a residential street in Corstorphine, Edinburgh North. There is plenty of on street parking and bus stops on the Glasgow Road that are less than a ten-minute walk away. It’s an easy trip form town centre, sometimes as quick as 25-minutes on the bus! The city bypass, M8 and M9 are very close by, so it’s an easy location to get to from out of town.

I have a big comfy sofa and armchair for you to rest in throughout the photoshoot. I keep the studio cosy and filled with snacks and spring water.

Children are very welcome in the studio, and I have lovely wooden toys for them to play with. Dogs are also welcome and can be free to roam inside and out, so that they feel comfortable in their new surroundings.

There is a separate room for changing, if you are here for Maternity, Family or Boudoir, with a full-length mirror to check out your appearance before stepping in front of the camera.
